James has been leading SBN’s work to accelerate the circular economy in New Zealand since 2014. He has extensive commercial experience, having worked in large corporates in Europe and SME's in Aotearoa, and owned his own business. His passion for a circular economy can be traced back to his study of Economics at High School where he came across the concept of built-in obsolescence – which he views as a scandalous business strategy.
